The Chair carries out research, networking and knowledge mobilization activities to develop scientific knowledge and concrete interventions aimed at supporting and promoting self-management and mental health among workers, their families and organizations.
The Chair conducts research in four interrelated areas: the individual, the workplace, new technologies and interventions.
Mental health self-management refers to the actions, large and small, that people can take in their personal lives and at work to reduce or prevent symptoms of mental health difficulties and relapse, and to optimize their day-to-day well-being. Self-management does not mean doing everything yourself. Workers can be supported in their self-management by their employers, colleagues and loved ones, as well as by caregivers and professionals.
